How to Make Handmade Soap

Taught by Albert Hutchins, this Handmade Soap class is perfect for beginners. If you have taken this class or made soap before, come back and make a log of soap with us for a refresher and fun. You will learn the properties of various oils that are good for the skin, produce a hard soap and produce a good lather. You will also learn how to size your recipe to fit your mold.

Please note this is a 2-day class. On Saturday (Sept. 6), we will meet for approximately 3 hours (11 am to 2 pm). During that time we will complete the process of making the soap and putting it in the mold. On Sunday (Sept. 7), we will meet for approximately 1 hour (1 to 2 pm) to cut the log into bars for you to take home.
