About the Event
Join the LREF Board for a special guest lecture on Hardy County history. Help us welcome Kathy Sholl, a niece of the Tusings, and Gary Smucker as they share the fascinating story of Ora and Lynn Tusing—two sisters who made their home atop Branch Mountain. The Tusings farmed, raised sheep, and spun their sheep’s wool into yarn, which they then wove into fabrics on their own loom.
After the lecture, enjoy a reception at the Artists Market Place and take the opportunity to view the historic Tusing loom and other artifacts on display in the Museum.
